just ran into the same problem as Jrock420. the fram filter is definately different.
not sure i want to order the k&n, worried about the same fit problem around the spring studs.
i hate to put the old filter back in but will have to anyway until i can get the right filter.
by the way...i'm new to the forum, but have been keeping up with all the great info you guys have been posting. thanks.

Hey Tmoe Welcome to the forums... Yeah I had to do the same thing,, re-used the old filter until I went to the Stealership and bought one... Screw Fram filters lol
The 06 and 09 filter has the SAME Kawasaki part number. You sure the fram was different because i use them all the time and they are identical. CH6015 that's the fram you need maybe someone boxed the wrong filter in the wrong box at the store I had that happen on a car filter before.

It might be the same filter as far as Kawasaki but the fram did not fit, there was no way It could fit,, its smaller and cant clear the prongs

09- The Fram site lists the same one for the 09 Someone should call them.
