oil filter question!!!

Is the 07 KLX250s Fram filter the same for the 09?????
couldnt find updated parts book so I boutght one for an 07

BUMP!!!! No the 07 Filter isnt the same for the 09. Witch freaking sux but oh well!!!

I'm surprised. This engine has been in service for what, 2 decades or more? And the oil filter is a standard Kawsaki part.

Do you have a picture or reference to the new '09 KLX oil filter?

I'm shocked if it's not the same filter. I think even the new KLX450 uses the same filter along with Honda XR's and many other bikes. What is the new part #?

yeah its all the same size as far as the filter but the hole (opening) that sets around the three studs for the spring is spread out farther!!!

dont know the new part number yet, no bike shop was open today!!! Advanced is using an 07 parts book

Samewith the 06/07.Theopening on most of the aftermarket filters (including the fram) is not the same as stock.

yeah so imma just goin to go get one at the Kawi dealer. thats what i should have done first but they wasnt opend.
