Oil Change - First One

RE: Urgent - RE: Oil Change - First One
Well that wasn't too bad. And definately could tell the spring was in there, the lid was spring loaded. I ordered the same pelican case, and am going to follow you're instructions. the only thing I worry about was getting my leg over the bike after the case is on, but I guess I'll adapt. Thanks again for the spring tip. Ha ha I claim page two. LOL

Glad you got that sorted out. I long ago gave up on trying to swing my leg over bikes that are this tall. I just stick my foot over the center of the seat. Not as "cool" but easier on the back [8D]

I have adapted the "Texas Two Step" to a means of mounting a high motorcycle.
Kind of goes like this . . . .
Put left hand on left grip and face the rear of the motorcycle.
Do an imitation of the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes and kick you leg as high as it will go. (note: remember that most of those young ladies do some daily stretches and can almost hit their noses with their ankles - you too can be like that with adequate stretching.)
As your right is approaching your nose, pivot on your left foot and let your right leg come down on the far side of the bike.
Once perfected, it is a thing of beauty to watch.
Of course if you are not as limber as you once were, you might want to learn the "balancing act" of mounting. I know of several "vertically challenged" friends that simply step on the left peg with their left foot and balance the bike as they swing their right leg over the seat.
Knowing both is a bonus, especially when the ground is soft and you want to get on.

Deej,
Just go to http://banners.wunderground.com
Then go to banner
Then go to gizmotimetemp
Then go to US
Then go to WA
Then go to City of your choice, or the one closest to you.
Umatilla is a town with a single traffic light in it. We are small and I hope it stays that way!
Hope this helps.
