Kshanks5, you have one more enhancement available (well, there is also the MCM). Get a Powerbomb or Megabomb header, a DJ144 main jet, do-up DJ144/1N lidless and get power that pulls hard to 10,500 RPM.. Right now, from my testing, your "enhanced" power wanes starting about 9000 RPM and is done at about 9400..? This is due to the stock header running outta "flow"..

Well, I think I'm done until winter as I need tires for my Road King. I will probably tackle the MSM and power bomb then

I just put new Harley replacement Dumlops on my Ultra. Thinking that would erase speed wobble.. WRONG ! Dirty little secret - speed wobble.. I take it in, to the dealership, all the time for this "issue" ..

007 may want to stay a Blue Pill, and that's ok, we need blue pills. We all can't fly around, stopping bullets, spanking Agents, oh, and pull 1st gear power wheelies.
Or put the real big boy pants on and do the 351 with the TM36-68. No replacement for displacement.

Yeah but that is $1200 (you gotta also get at least a slipon) plus the replacing of a whole lot of perfectly good engine components.
What if I can get 25 (maybe more) SAE corrected horsepower at the rear wheel, with about $700 of external "bolt ons".. Stay tuned, there is more to come from Klxster's Dyno-Palooza..

The BB kit was $358 ($175 core credit) and the TM36-68 was $280 plus around $50 for experimental jets/needles for a total of $688. The other mods required are irrelevant because they need to be done to a stock bore KLX to see a 25hp gain. For a $688 investment you get 30hp but the big advantage is the torque increase. Crack the throttle at low rpm and the BB351 pulls like a tractor something that can only be achieved with an increase in displacement.

$358 ! Sign me up ! Better yet, I'll take two !

But according to its' maker, B&B Cycle restoration, it's $533.95 + $175 core charge + Shipping + an engine tear down/rebuild..

A TM36-68 can be bought and set up for a little over $300..

Keep you stock exhaust and you make same HP and about 2 lb ft more TRQ (From B&B's own Dyno chart) than $225 spent for a slipon ($175 Delkevic) and DJ kit ($50) on a stock bore.

When you research-out the 351 kit in here, you only approach 30hp by adding a full exhaust (+$500) and TM36-68, which will also require, at least, the Barnett heavy duty clutch spring set, if not the full performance plate/disc/spring kit..

I'm a fan of the 351 - big time.. The moment my engine has to be torn down for whatever reason, it's going back as a 351..

I do stand corrected, $533 is with the core credit applied. You do get everything in the kit including gaskets. I've never dyno ed the bike but I was running the MCM with all the mods and after the 351 it was night and day difference. Very good lower rpm grunt which the bike never had.

Less cost and lighter than a DRz400 too.
