Default Newbie w/ new (to me) bike

Hello all,

Been a lurker for a while and finally picked up my KLX250s last weekend so I thought I would say hello. It's an '06 with 3,200 miles. Never been in the dirt, literally (It even has street only tires on it). Came with an HMF slip on and the appropriate jetting per HMF according to the owner (he couldn't remember what it was) as well as a 13t sprocket. It's freezing here in Northern IL so I've only run it around a little. Didn't realize how much I missed riding until I hopped on this thing. Now time for a valve check.

Anyway, thanks great forum - I've used it a lot already - great information.

BTW - if you happen to have an '06 service manual and supplemental manual in pdf I'm trying to get my hands on them. Figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

Thanks again.

Welcome to the forum. Look around here on the stickies and FAQs and you should find the link to a manual that will do justice.

Congrats on the new bike!! The KLX 250/300 manual is also the base manual for the 06-07 KLX250s. I bought the supplement for the 06-07's, but have , for the most part, only had use for the base manual. Look in the stickies, as IDRIDER suggested, the PDF base manual was there at one time. (If not, PM me with you email and I can send it to you.)

Here is the link from the stickies. (Klasjm did a nice job compiling a lot of info in his reference thread.) https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...ad.php?t=19350 click on the rapidshare link.
