I've had the Trail Wing tire and it was great on pavement but terrible on anything wet off-road. Mud cakes up in the tread quickly and becomes trapped. In fact, the tire got me trapped in a muddy creek bed and I had to take a smoke break to plan an escape route. Before that, I had the Trackmaster II and it was terrible on pavement so I threw it on my KDX and it's been a super off road tire. I currently have a Pirelli Scorpion XCMH 110/100 on the KLX and it's been by far the best compromise tire that I've owned. Great in mud and muck. Grabs well on serious inclines on a peat moss/wet leaf type of terrain. It also grabs well on big trail logs and rocky areas. I've hopped over some really big downed trees over the trail with no problems.

The Pirelli has been a good street tire as well. My gas mileage has reamained the same on commutes and the tire produces little 'street crunch' on braking, etc...

The pirelli XCMH front tire is too agressive and I won't be buying another. But the rear tire kicks some....

I really like the 110/100 size for the KLX and the KDX.

That sums it up well. Especially because we use our bikes in so many different ways.

The Kenda K270 work really well for a 50/50 tire. I mostly riden 90 on-road/ 10 off-road and have currently 4,300 miles on them. The ***** are still good enough for one last dirt ride before they are too shallow for any wet dirt. There are some comprimises as well. The K270 don't do too well in sand or sloppy mud. But for loose dirt, packed dirt, grass, wet dirt, and pavement, they are good.

I just bought front and rear shinko 244's, a set of Fly h-d tubes and a rimlock for $103 delivered from mc superstore. I'll post my thoughts on them next week.
