I never liked the look of that fender until seeing it with the plate mount on it. Looks good. I wish the 2009 would have that fender so I could do the same on my 250.

Even with a fender eliminator mine was always covered in mud no matter where the plate was

One reason not to just cut off a rear inner fender. If the bikes had MX bike length rear fenders it might be different.
