Iowa!

If my plate was there it would be caked with about an inch thick of mud.

i was soooo close to mounting my plate in the same spot earlier today. instead i decided to just mount it under the brake light, following the contour of the rear fender. i can still read the plate clearly from 25 feet away, so i assume this is good for daytime riding. i figured the brake light would illuminate the plate at night, but when i apply the brakes, the brake light it so bright it kind of makes reading the plate difficult. i wish i knew how to do the digital camera thing. i would love to show my new tail off. maybe i'll see if i can recruit my wife, she's handy with the camera and computer.

That's the same position I see the plate mounted on a lot of sport bikes. I wonder how they get away with doing that with no plate light? It's required here in NY to have an illuminated plate.

My son's CBR has it's plate there but with the custom undertail there are two led license plate lights that show on it.
