Wow, your dealer jumped to an expensive conclusion quickly. When I put my EDGE kit on a few weekends ago I made the same mistake you and let 2 wires touch. Go very frustrated that the LED's wouldn't light up till I realised the front light wasn't on either.

Under the seat there is a "fuse box" that has 3 small blade fuses in it. 1 is a spare, one is for ignition, and I can't recall the third. My ignition fuse was blown, so I just used the spare to replace it and everything was fine again. Take a look at your manual that came with your bike for instruction how to do that. I think all the fuses are 10A (Red fuse).

... yes, the red 10 amp fuse was out, now I have headlight! but it does look like I fried the relay, yes $34... but worth to get back to riding, thanks for all the help
