Need advice on buying a slip-on exhaust
#12
I'm in the market for a slip on as well and found some good deals while looking around on Amazon.com
However, some of them said they would fit a klx between 06-10. Is the 06-07 really interchangeable with 09-10?

socket wrench set and allen key....little wd40 if the bolts are stuck...you have a new bike, so it should come right out...just make sure you grease the threads when you put it back on...or, you'll have stuck bolts again when you try to take it off.....bolts on exhaust get hot and cold, so it can get stuck later on down the road...

Dont forget to bend the passenger peg gaurd. Otherwise it just wont line up quite right, and you will be like WTF? A wooden hammer handle or a pipe wrapped in a rag or tape works good to bend it out away from the bike without scratching the frame. Your going to love the sound.

Overall, a pretty smooth install. The only sticking point was getting it on the rear bolt and middle hole lined up. But after playing with it and pivoting it out I got them both to seed fine. I love the sound! I'm glad it's not significantly louder then the stock pipe. My neighbors will appreciate that.
