near disaster...
never lubed in the one year of ownership...11,656 miles of heavy city and freeway traffic...will fix this weekend or next week...lubed and put some air in the single speed bicycle...pedaling this weekend...
Just in time for Critical Mass.
I've heard of others zip-tying the spare cable to the installed one on the bike, so it's right there when things go bad. Any of you do that?
lubed and installed the new clutch cable...i will say that it was a pain in the butt to install because it's hard to push/pull the cable back to the clutch lever...very little wiggle room...
another thing i noticed while adjusting the clutch cable....if it seems little difficult getting the gear in to neutral, adjust the screw that goes into the clutch lever out a millimeter or two...
clutch cable has been replaced...lubed and ready to ride again!...
the bicycle was taken over golden gate bridge and went on a 60 mile ride on the single speed...i forgot how great it felt to cruise around on a bicycle...taking life a little slower...i have to remember to ride a bicycle more instead of riding the klx all the time...

or singlespeed
?
both...flip flop hub rear wheel...fixed on one side...freewheel on the other side...for the long ride, it was on the freewheel because there are some super long and extremely fast downhills...after going over the golden gate bridge from sf...it's a long drop down to sausalito...can carve down faster than most cars...i built this bike piece by piece from scratch...custom selected every nut, fork, wheels, etc...
