No I don't think it had a cat. It did have a restricter welded in that everyone says to cut out and I did that. That made a big difference, and was a good improvement. The aftermarket pipe on this bike is not a necessity as the stock pipe makes good power. I like the sound of the Akrapovic better though, and since I got a good deal on it, I decided to get it.

 

Sweet pipe!!! I think I going to have to buy the ktm so I can get one of those pipes....lol

 

You sound like you can rationalize purchases as well as I can, lol

 

One of the guys at my work just bought the ktm exc 450. He brought it in today and that is one sweet bike! I could not stop staring at it all day...lol
