Default More Power...Warranty issues?

After 300 miles i decided my KLX needs a little bit
more kick...so i want to upgrade IF:

do you guys know if i'll loose my warranty if i
change anything on the bike, thinks like the
exhaust (FMF pipe) or jetting?

If so i'd rather go with stock...

if your that worried about it just change the gearing to 13-45.... that will help alot.... and not change any major stuff.

Just the 13t sprocket made a major difference for me, I have changed bars, barkbusters, airbox snorkel, will do the crankcase breather as soon as I find some pipe that will slide on. I have a fairly good relationship with my dealer and asked wether the crankcase breather will void warranty said no, jetting or pipe won't either (that according to my dealer) I think a lot depends on your dealer and what mood there in at the time.

Cheers
Chris.

If you modify your bike you could void your warranty-by the letter of the law/warranty rules. but talk to your dealer- Before I left the show room my dealer had told me about all the free mods- to wake the bike up.And said they would be fine with providing warranty service with that stuff done. The 13t counter shaft make a nice differance.

When the question of mods versus warranty come up, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. I bet that if you throw on a 290/300/331 kit its probably going to void any warranty. However a full exhaust system or jetting or other smaller mods will probably not void anything. I can't imagine any dealer turning away work because you did a few changes to your bike, and if you have a great dealer like I do, they will always take care of you.
