Default More carb problems

Soo, after taking my bike to the mechanic to check that the idle is all good, I was driving home and lost the whole idle screw spring and everything... So I bought a new assembly and put it in and while I was at it i tore apart my carb to clean it but it looked brand new. I still sprayed carb cleaner through all the jets and pilot, anyways. I'm trying to get my bike to idle and what should be a 10 mins thing has taken me 5 hours and its still not done, I have the screw out like 4 turns atm and its idling at like 3000rpm when its 3 turns out it idles at 1000 then bogs down and dies and anything under 3 turns seems to do the same thing. Soo do I need a new pilot jet? I'm kind of confused because it had been idling just fine for quite a while. Like 8 months before this problem came about.

also just looking at kawasaki parts it looks like there is only the 35 for pilot?

If it was running OK before, you didn't change the pilot jet, it should be ok. I would inspect the needle/slide/diaphram situation.

Lets assume: The the bike used to idle just fine at 1200-1300 rpm with the fuel screw @ 2.5 to 3 turns out. You have the correct replacement fuel screw and spring. After your carb "teardown session" , it won't idle at 1200-1300 rpm with the fuel screw 2.5 to 3 turns out.

If all the above is true - then your carb teardown session created the problem. I guess, read this thread and see if it helps? - https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...s-fixes-43146/

Is the little white basket thing(super tech term) that goes on the needle plugging the hole in the diaphragm?

I didnt actually open the diaphragm area, I decided everything looks so clean I wont bother, update, yes the bike was running fine before hand, but I had to have the screw ore than 3 turns out more like 4. so the screw fell out I got a new one tore down the carb and then put the new on in, I still couldn't get it to idle without 4 turns out so right now I have my bike idling great. and I have the hole plugged with a was of Teflon tape to stop the screw from coming out.
