A few pics of my bike from another sweet day of cruising the Oregon Dunes (last Sunday - June 19th) This is what I daydream about when I'm sitting in my cubicle at work during the week.

Beautiful pics! Did you alter the color any or is that straight up how it looks? I think if that was my playground I'd be looking for about another 200cc of POWWAA. I rode my 300 on a beach once and couldn't believe how much it bogged me down.

That's the original colors in the pic, but the water only looks blue because it's reflecting the sky. These dunes lakes have no inlet or outlet, so the water is stained dark brown like tea, so it's hard to tell how deep the water is when it's deeper than about a foot or so. And yes, you're right on about the Powwaa, I'm currently lusting after a YZ250, but it's not a good time for me to be buying a new toy, so I'm using the KLX to it's fullest potential. Honestly, I think it does fine out in the dunes, obviously not the ideal tool for the job, but it's the only bike I've got right now, and it gets me out there. If I want to climb anything I've got to take a run at it, which is a challenge in itself. I know having the power to rip up anything I want will be fun, (I've ridden some friend's bikes out there; KTM400XC-W and a Husky TC510) but the KLX is fun in it's own way for being more of a low key cruiser for just exploring and wandering around.

Here's what I did with my KLX last weekend

We went swimming

Played in the mud

Rode through a hay field

Tackled a beaver bog

And posed for pretty pictures with the poppies

Thanks, I bought it on ebay for an XR250, and modified the mid pipe so it would fit.
