Hope it's not too much of a let down. Go easy on me, it's only my 2nd time on an MX track, and I'm and old guy, so we learn slow and our bones are old and brittle.

All things considered, I reckon you went all right Brian.
I wouldn't feel OK giving my KLX that much air.

I put new tires on the KLX yesterday, rode over to my club's motocross track, and put about 50 laps in. Two thumbs up for the K270's. The last time I rode it on the track, I was able to pretty easily outrun the novice class leader. He was on a 07 YZ125.

 

if you just want to hit the track for fun, i say no prob but if you want to race, save your $ and buy a 125 mx bike, like others have said you will be much happier. if you go to an easy track and ride smart (slow) like us you'll do fine, just make sure you get a vid like we did.
