Nope. I'm headed the other way. I've had the cool, performance bikes. They are a rip and impressive. I've had my fun for many years. W/advancing maturity (Getting old?) and the price of gas, I'm looking to settle it down a bit. However, having said that, I wouldn't trade any of the experience for the world. And, I am looking at the 1000RR to keep my foot in the door.

Enjoy!

1000RR....well I guess, but how about a 990 adv instead....that's a good ole man's bike that can handle slab and a litte dirt.

That's what I keep coming up w/. Does the WR require premium fuel? That wouldn't do it on its on, but I'm trying...
If $0.40 a tankful is a deciding factor for you, you need to be looking at a 100+ MPG scooter.

If a 250cc dualsport is what you want, get the Yamaha WR and press on. The only slightly negative thing I could come up with is the tall seat height.

I doubt it requires premium. I think the ECU can adjust to a pretty wide range of fuels.

Had a 950 Adventure. Great bike, but top-heavy and expensive. I'm going back to all Jap bikes. They're too good a value, and too easy to live w/.

I hear the WR will run fine on regular gas. The tall seat height would not be a problem. If I go w/a true d-s, it'll almost certainly be the WR.

Thanks.
