rg, I believe that 250 and 300 difference only involved the older generation 250's...not sure which year that point occured. On those older 250 cases, the stock 300 cylinder would not fit...too big at the bore extension. Dimensionally the modern 250 and 300 cylinder have basically the same numbers.
