I had an old xl600 that broke like that it peeled the tube frame some, had it welded and it was then the strongest part of the bike. Never happended again.

 

Yeah I'd tig weld it and forget about it.

Moose racing sells a bolt on side stand that attaches to the chain side swing arm beam.

 

It looks like neither the Trail Tech, nor Moose (nor anything else Google provides) is a fit specific to the KLX250s - Can anybody say what other models would fit?

 

I'm not sure you'll find anything that is OEM specific to the KLX in the aftermarket arena. The main reason is probably because all preferred aftermarket replacement stands are selected because of their ability to tuck up high and inside to the bike's frame rather than sticking out like a sore thumb like the OEM KLX.
