Just brought home my '09 KLX-250S, and did some riding
LEVERS SAVE HANDS TOO.... i know this past saturday i bounced both ends of bars off of trees..... thats one of those times where you know the tree is headed right at your hand, then ya bounce off cause of the handguards, and at that moment ya close your eyes.... then ah... no smashed hands... lol.....
Yeah barkbusters have been my #1 on the wishlist since before I had the bike. I need to find out which ones will fit the '09 fairly well.
The clutch lever was only $5 a piece from the dealer, actually. I (well, pops) bought two just to be safe since they're so cheap.
Performance mods are several months away I think. Gotta get it broken in and better at riding it as-is... handguards will be first, gotta do something with that hdeous rear fender, ditch the reflectors next chance I get, then the basic airbox, rejet, new can, but that'll be a while away.

I love it in Green. Also starting to really dig the front end. Fender Sets it off very well. Love the '07 still. Had it out tonight for some jumping then some street riding. The neighbor wasn't home so I jumped over the swail between our properties. My wife just looked at me and shook her head and went back to watering her flowers. Here a pic of the '07 just to show the old style front end compared to the '09's
