Jetting
I currently live at 4300ft and ride in the mountains which are at a minimum as high or higher. I have a 2012 klx250s with a fmf Q4 and the top cut out of the airbox. This was previous owner I haven't done anything to it. It needs to be jetted that's one thing he didn't do.
what size needle, jet and washer would you recommend for my set up? With my KLR I bought one of Eagle Mikes jet kits.
thanks

Stock header - Firstly, remove whatever is left of the airbox lid.
Assuming the needle, slide spring, and slide lift hole are stock, simply install a DJ136 or K148 main jet.
Or use the DJ2152 kit's needle (needle only) and a DJ134 / K135 main jet, put the clip on the top most notch of the needle and both washers super glued on top of the clip.
In either case, once again, you must use the stock slide spring and have a stock slide lift hole.
Read my link below "CVK34 list of issues........" to learn what you need to know....
CVK's self adjust for higher alts, but CANNOT self adjust for lower alts.. So do not run the bike hard at lower than 4000 ft ASL...
