Default Jet kit installed, now it bogs at bit

2006 klx250s. Installed the DJ Kit (128 Main, 4th Notch, 2 1/2 turns, slide drilled, washers used, sea level, stock exhaust, snorkel pulled) and now it runs great on the open road. However on the technical trails when I am just putting around in first, it seems to bog a bit, like it loading up. If I rev the engine a bit, it clears out. Any thoughts?

sounds like your needle is too high. raise the clip one notch and see how is goes.

Try the third clip position and try 2 turns.

I just installed my dj kit and I went with 128 main, 3rd notch and 2 1/4 turns. Runs great.

Yeah, pretty much what the other are saying. 4th notch is too rich for just pulling the snorkel and running with the stock exhaust. 3rd notch should suit you much better.

You mention "washers used". I would hope you don't have washers under your needle clip as that will richen things up even more so. Drop the needle a click and loose the washers (if you've got them under the needle clip). That would probalby solve your low speed bogging. With the stock exhaust system you're probably large on the main jet also.

The DJ kit instructs you to use two (included) washers with the clip on the 3rd notch. It works great - at least on my bike.

The Dynajet kits I've installed usually note to put the washers above the clip (like a spacer). Is this the case for KLX250 kit?
