i just put a on set of foam intake filters, and mounted them right on the carb of my 99 ex500 ninja. now it boggs out every time i try to get up to speed. the specs tell me that the air screw is "sealed - not ajustable" anyone have any ideas on how to get it to accelerate smoothly?

They are sealed with a thin cap that is easy to remove.
I did not see if you had a jet kit ready to install. But you will need to play with the needle height and mains now also.

 

jet kit? i dont know. i just took off the origional intake housing and replaced it with filters directly on the carbs. but i will look for what you said. thanks man
