I have a factory sf, and have been through all kinds of terrain with it on street tires. It hates the sand. Normal street sand and dirt is fine, but anything more than 3 inches of fine sand, and the bike will faceplant. I don't recommend it. I've ridden off road (ditches, dirt, grass) just as much as on road, because I'm a hooligan and so are my friends. I've been looking into more offroad worthy tires for my next set. Shinkos get lots of good feedback.

I do believe the front of the bike will drop a little bit, but with the S model suspension you should be fine.

If you're not trying to do stoppies or drift, the stock rotor size will be fine. Definitely get some high quality parts. I ordered braided lines from Galfer, and they come with a colored sleeve you can match to your bike.

Welcome to the page, where are you located?

I have Shinko 705 on my S model now. Haven't been heavy offroad on them yet (trail riding some), but they seem to do well on the street. The supermotos i've seen with 705s...well, they look a little odd to me on that sort of bike.

The shinko 244 rear does fine on the 17", a 244 on the front 17" is kind of scary....but it works if you ride slow enough. Problem is it bounces off/over stuff instead of rolling over.

I have since switched to a 244 on a 21" front and its night and day better off road.
