I have a 09 klx250s I was considering the ims tank. How does it fit? And I know the petcock is bolted to the frame. Does it have a fitting that's bolt to the tank?

 

The petcock has two hoses that go to the tank, you just transfer the fittings and the hoses connect right up. Everything is included to make the tank work. Just take your time, fitment is hit or miss but that seems to be the case with any plastic tank. I'm satisfied with mine.

 

Ya, like NorCal said fitment can be a problem. But with enough wiggling it will fit. Also, be careful when tightening the bolts to the tank, they can easily strip.

 

if you can put the tank in the sun (i know its winter) put it on a heat register it well make fitting much easier if the tank is warm, that extra gallon of gas is wonderful.
