You may discover like I did that 2 levels of blocks are needed to make sure the shock linkage doesn't get hung up on the platform.

Tie downs are a must. The new jack comes equipped with ratcheting straps.

I have a similar jack and have had everything from my Husky TE250, KLX, other bikes, up to my 850Lb Goldwing up on the thing. Honestly, though, I only bothered with ratchet/tie down straps for the Goldwing, maybe the Concours (but that was a while ago, so I don't recall.) I think that I put a 2x4 on the front leg when lifting the KLX, but I had the husky up on it the other day (for chain maintenance) without any wood platform on the legs at all.
