Whack on side of tree. that's how i do it.

When you say loosen everything, are you loosening all the bolts on the triple clamps (Up at the top of the forks) Or are you just loosening the axle? You dont really need to do the axle, but you should be loosening the triple clamps( if you are doing it that way vs whacking on a tree)

Go to the "Moto Pro" web page. He has a fork set up page. It works. I've used that page many times for all my bikes. Thanks John.

I saw the moto pro page but all I saw was how to align the axle not the actual triple clamps.

I guess I will just leave it. The stealership charges out the butt, the guy told me it would cost $30 for them to hold the tire between their knees and straighten it that way. And it would be an additional $50 if they have to loosen a couple bolts to realign it.

I guess I got it pretty straight on my own. I had my buddy ride it and he said it seemed fine to him but to me it feels a little off and I ride it everyday so I guess I just gotta get used to it.

you may have tweaked the handlebars slightly also, which is why it seems like the front end isn't lining up like it should.

Lawnica1; If you followed the instructions on the Moto Pro page and your axle will not easily slide into place (without wheel) many things can be wrong. Forks twisted in the triple clamp, one fork sitting lower in the triple clamps. etc. Give John @ Moto Pro a phone call or e mail him. He's one of the smartest and nicest guy's I've met. He has always helped me with all the crazy problems I've had with my klx. Probably the klx's greatest strength are it's Ohlin forks. This front end is so rigid it will not work well or at all if there are any errors in assembly or alignment. I have found that when I had set my forks up with one fork being less than ,010 inches lower in the triple clamps than the other, the forks felt bound up. It felt like the spring rate had doubled. Get it right. You know, PERFECT. You can do it.
