all these parts are for the same year 99' but i have a Australian 250 where as the ad says klx 300(us im gessing), will these parts fit?

and with the parts and postage just getting close to $1000aud i would love to hear some ideas for cheaper parts.

Try a
local breakers yard. This model has been popular in AUS for quite a few years. Only last week I picked up a complete engine from a private sale for $150. Pretty dirty and without a carb'. When I got inside here she was sweet, oil was clean and everything moves as it should., even got a spare Irridium plug.

Sorry , no I don't want to sell the head.

i guess i have a new appreciation for oil now.

Looks like I lucked out. $150 was a steal.
Checked the numbers with the DMV, all's good and honest.

also, to get the parts brand new from kawa, the head was 990, the cams were 660 for both.

Could have gotten the whole engine from here in Japan for less than $500

From what I've read, the combustion chamber on the 300 is larger than on the 250. This will lower your compression ratio.

Ride on
