Default Header contacts oil return pipe

I bought a Four Strokes Works header which is a little larger in diameter than stock. Mounted up it just touches the oil return pipe where it comes down to the oil filter assembly. Is this a concern? I know the header is hot but then so is the oil. Any ideas?

There shouldn't be any oil return lines. Just that one that splits into two for the tranny and engine head. But be side that, yes, it is to be a concern. The exhuast should almost float by itself with only the mount brackets touching it.

shim the pipe with washers at the mounting points in the rear.. one or two washers and it should be fine.

Move it or it'll wear a hole in the pipe.

Frankly I'm not sure which direction the oil is going in that tube but it sounds like the header should not be touching it regardless. Thanks for the replies guys. I'll try the shimming and whatever else comes to mind. Ciao!

I had no luck mounting a POS err FSW header to my bike. Mine touched the frame & no amount of figiting, wedging or shimming would correct it. The paint just fell off the thing in the process as well. I never could get it mounted up & just sold it at a loss. Never again.

I think maybe I'l call FSW. The guy that runs the place seems like a reasonable fellow. He might appreciate this sort of feedback and make some adjustments to his product. That is unless he already knows about these issues and is sitting on the info. Hope not.

maybe he means the rad hoses or clutch cable, theres not oil lines near there. im pretty sure they only oil lines are on the opposite side of the bike.
