So the headlight holder and the bulb connectors were stick together almost fully melted and bond together lol. Some how while trying to remove it, the connectors broke apart. Well, I'm looking to get the stock Japanese bulb(koito Japan H4 12v 60/55W) which is around $24 usd or any suggestions? For long term use

 

Yes, if the connectors are melted, replace them. Get a new headlight connector, I don't think there's anything special about the one on the KLX, but I'm guessing. H4 is H4, get one at a car parts store and replace the melted one. Then buy a less expensive H4 from a car parts store. Again, H4 is H4. As long as you get the same watt rated H4 you are getting the right bulb.

I had one headlight connector fail in a Pontiac Vibe, made by Toyota. Seemed for some reason the driver side would melt down due to excessive resistance. Don't know, just soldered in a new one.

 

Yah got the connectors replaced and the bulb too, hope this wont happen again lol

 

I've heard of guys having issues with auto bulb replacements on their bikes. From what I understand, the auto bulbs don't hold up to the vibrations of an off road motorcycle. The lighting elements break from the extra vibration of the motorcycle. I haven't tried this myself, but what I've read on other forums. They don't last, and the motorcycle bulbs are made for this. Just passing along info. True, or False? I have no idea.
