28 horses seems pretty outrageous as well. a loss of 10-15% is assumed as it goes to the back wheel. since dirtbiketelevision is saying that the bike only gets 16 horse in stock trim, one has to assume that even 22 is pushing it at the rear wheel in plugged up trim. this is why this forum is so important, so us as owners and past owners like myself who unplugged the bike and made it run to it's maximum potential with otherwise stock components, can spread the word of how capable the bike is with a mere investment of time and money. the bike is just crap in oem running form, it HAS no power.
I'm sure the bike you used to own had some serious power though. How many miles did you have on it?

exactly, I'll add too that they clean themselves better too. but it makes me wonder too just how much of an advantage they really are off-road since Husqvarna, the maker of arguably the best dirt bikes in the world, still fits solid non vented discs to it's enduro bikes.

also, one more thing- sinkoman, there is NO WAY a stock KLX makes 30 horse at the crank, absolutely no way. that would mean it loses nearly 50% when it reaches the rear wheel. I think you'd be okay to say that it makes around 22 at thecrank stock. if it had 30 stock horsepowerat the crank, no one on here would be buying pipes, sprockets, or jets. that would translate to around 25 at the rear wheel.people are happy to see 23 after a pipe/jet mod around here. pretty sad I know.[X(]
You're always blowing the Husqvarna and anyone who has a big gun (pun intended). Whatever. Put your money where your mouth is and go buy one. You don't have a bike, and even when you did you didn't ride it. So what makes you the expert on everyfvcking thing in here? Oh, you say so.

I shouldn't really care, but it's annoying as shiit reading through a thread and coming upon your name.

easy danny. Iowa has some knowledge, just has a hard time relaying that knowledge so that is understood by others.

Whoa easy. And he owes it to the world to spread that knowledge far and wide. It would be a sin not to pass that on. And if that means we all have to put up with him being a *****, so be it.

Point well taken dragon. Thank you.

IMO, crank HP means nothing! When all that matters is wheel hp and torque! Gets under 20hp in stock form, jets and a pipe gets around the 20hp mark at the rear? Something like that. Other numbers don't matter, at the crank, handlebars, front wheel! Who cares, all that gets that bike to move is the rear wheel!
Get my point?
Sorry if I sound enraged... I'm not really... Just expressing. And Iowaguy.. Uggh, Beside his name, or signature, should be "Don't listen to me, USUALLY it's not accurate"...

hahaha, so if I say that I am getting 161hp to the rear on one of my rides at the 4000 ft mark and at 111 deg outside ambient, am I lieing? Prolly not. This is a forum where we can all discuss things, show off and learn from. It is all good. We can all read and type, but we also need to understand the whole picture. This is why KF is still there for us all.

I did not see a tirade tremor. But seeing proof of 22-30hp would be nice. I will edit your one word though.

You're right, it probably wasn't a tirade, my bust. Everybody has their soap box.

As for the 'one word' I cant beginto fathom itas bad in any way and didn't intend it to be.For whatever reason, you don't seem to like it, so Iwill avoid using it. [&:]
