I installed the rallys on my SF, it comes down to having tools for the job. I used a hack saw to cut the throttle tube and rubber grip ends, then broke out the compress and grinder to remove the 3 tack welds on the weights. I then had to remove 2/3 of the **** on the clutch. it was time consuming but nothing major, I think and hour and a half and I was done.

If that top pic is an lc4 like mine

You are absolutely correct ..... the klx, even with the 351 is smooooth as silk.

When I first bought my Adventure I thought I was never going to get used to the handlebar vibes .... its really over the top at first. I even changed my gearing not based upon off road riding criteria, but rather so that highway speeds (70 mph) would not be in that 5.2 k rpm range of vibrating madness. Higher and lower rpms are fine, well mostly.

Oh, my klx has Moose Raptor Bend Bars and Moose Bark Busters, easy install and about as high as one could go with the stock cables, very happy with them and I have hit quite a few trees, no problems in over three years.

I also thought the hand guards were a huge pain in the ***...had I known, I would have bought some aftermarket bars at the same time. I didn't want to trim my bars any as I tend to hold my hands out close to the end of the bars. I drilled and tapped one side, and by the time I finished that side (my tap was a bit dull) I said F-this , glued my new grips on and called it a day...lol. If anyone is interested in a brand new pair of Moose Racing hand guards still in the packaging, let me know! scottma978@yahoo.com. Thanks

Don't give up now, you're 1/2 way there. Just cool off, maybe invest in another tap, finish it in a couple of days.
