Whoa, thanks for the input. Right off the bat I like Rental CR high bars. I want to go as high as possible but maintain stock cables and all that. As far as all the controls like kill switch, turn signals and what not...are there any modifications needed? Or do they just swap over no problem?

They require modification but nothing major.
The controls each have nubs in them so that they slot into the holes of the oem handle bar.

How ever the numbs can be cut out for them to fit on the new bar.

This link might help you out a bit more

Great link! Thanks.

So my hand guards came in today and they fit like crap. Ok, I get they fit many applications so playing around with the fitment is necessary...on the plus side I'm very happy with the color and quality of the product.

Mainly the left inner mount totally interferes with the brake line and cables in general. The left lever is to long so I moved it in board by loosening the 10mm on the mount. Not sure what I want to do, I don't want to start nodding stuff and not be happy. Does anyone have the Acerbis Pro Rally X hand guards installed?

Here are a few shots, hopefully they look Ok as I'm doing this from my phone.

Rather than use the hard ware supplied the Kawi has these welded in pieces so I was able to drill and tap them. Hopefully I can keep it that way.

I have the Acerbis Pro Rally X. I know what you are saying about fitment issues but trust me, once you work through those, you'll really like these guards. Yes, the levers are a bit long...I ended up cutting the lever ***** off (with a sawszall) and heat-shrinked the ends for grip and burr coverage. I re-routed the cables so that they were not inhibited or pinched and all turned out fine. I've got a ram ball mount for my GPS on the left side between the clutch perch and center handlebar bar. I'll try to find some pictures to show you my setup.

Thanks for the pics. Got mine mounted up.

I ended up bending them slightly to make them fit. I'm going to run them for a week or two before I install my new grips or get new bars. Rather than cut the ball from my clutch lever I opted to loosen the mount and move it in. Works great but the ball is close to my pinkie and it bunches up my fingers. I'll find tune it later.
