I have a 2009 KLX with FMF Q4 and I have not had any problems. The exhaust turns the turn signal black, but it can be cleaned off.

hmm..i've had the fmf q4 for 5,000 miles or so...heavy full throttle riding....no sign of any melting...i did notice if you don't push the connecting pipe all the way in...the exhaust tilts up towards the blinkers...i actually used heavy bicycle grease to slide the pipes in and out easier...

and, had the hmf for 2,000+ miles now...blinkers are fine....the hottest it gets around sf is probably 90s...and, i'm usually riding at about 75 mph to 80 mph for the most part....

I really like those, too bad they're illegal here.

I had the same problem with my TBR M-7. I made my own tip from 1 1/2" stainless tube, about 5" long. It now needs a wipe once a week to remove minor soot build up.

maybe you could have just angled it down instead of extending out so far....

I did buy small blinkers to put on but i really don't like cutting wires on a brand new bike and i would have to do it to the front to keep it symetrical. The local motorcycle shop sells CHEAP tiny blinkers, but its all on what you like.

Trying to post a picture... why can't I just upload, asks for a url. ???

Select the paper clip, then attach your images and upload?

Default My melted klx250 signal

I'm going to try some narrower, metal bodied signals. Will let you know how they work. Hope image shows this time.

So I see it's been asked a few times but no one has answered....where do you get or what are some good shorty turn signals for the klx?
