I have an '09 with the Q4 slip-on. I didn't melt the signal until I travelled 100km on the highway at 105kph. Now it's melted right through. Does anyone know of some small aftermarket signals I can order online?

Thanks for the info guys, guess it's back to hunting the forums to decide on which exhaust to get. I'd rather not have to pay extra cash for even more addons after the exhaust to prevent them getting melted. Right now I'm leaning towards a full Muzzy system, just want to make sure it isn't too loud.

Full Muzzy will be very loud. I'm pretty sure the quietest aftermarket exhaust kit available will be the FMF/Q4.

I wouldn't worry about the blinkers. Even if they do melt it's $15 for a new pair.

The FMF Q4 will have a nice rumble tone. You can buy cheap aftermarket blinkers if you perfer.

Yep, FMF Q4 is a signal melter after only 1 mile on the freeway at 70mph.

I've got the Q4 on my SF and I have no sign of melting on my bike? I run 20 miles to work at 60-70 mph.

I also have the Q4 on my '09 and after about 3,500km there is ZERO sign of melting on the stock signals. It is really weird how some people have it and some don't.

I wasn't too bummed until I found out how much the OEM signal cost, $40 + shipping and then I'll need an Edge kit for another $80 so it doesn't happen again. My $300 silencer cost me $420.
