Does anyone know if the Q4 part #042156 for the '06 KLX250S is a direct match up of the '07 KLX250S? I contacted FMF (@Contact Us) with my question but have not gotten a reply. Also, what are the differences between the '06 and '07 models of the KLX250S?

 

Theonly differences between06 and 07 are the color of some of the plastics. Any part that fits an 06 will fit an 07.

 

I have the Q4 on my '07 along with the power bomb header.

How much of a sound difference was there? I'm looking for weight savings more than anything else and don't want to sacrifice loud sound for weight. Also, the local dual sport events sound check aftermarket exhausts.

 

jb7 How does it run with that exhaust and didi you jet it? I have the Q4 on now and I'm STILL waiting for the Pbomb.

Yes, it is louder than stock, but much quieter than the Muzzy was, even when the Muzzy had the quiet core and spark arrestor installed. I don't come back from a ride with my ears ringing and a headache since I switched to the FMF. That being said, in my opinion, judging from seat of the pants performance, it doesn't have the hit that the Muzzy did. Low end performance seems about the same, but the bike doesn't seem to accelerate as quickly as it did with the Muzzy. The FMF performs very well, just not as well as the Muzzy did. This is running the stock CV carb with both pipes, a K&N airfilter, no snorkel, 13T front sprocket.
