OEM Parts Pricing
Has anyone else noticed that parts pricing for the same part, but different model years, is different? Even if the part is the same for different model years, sometimes it's cheaper for an earlier model. I've also found that sometimes a part for the KLX300R is priced differently for the KLX250S, even though it's the same part. When my local Kaw dealer looks up a part for me on his computer system. the program also shows what other applications there are for that particlular part. Are there any online retailers out there (like BikeBandit) whose pats lookup can do the same thing?
i've noticed that - sometimes the part is identical but has a different part number and different pricing.

Make sure you have a full part number. The first 5 digits identify the part, i.e., brake lever. The last 4 digits identify the model-specific part. In general, they all have to match to ensure you are really getting the same part. The fact that the first 5 digits match means little.
Yeah if it has a different part number it can't be the same part. If one part does come up to fit a different machine it will be the same part number. Do you have any examples of parts, I would like to check this out.
