I just noticed on Thumpertalk Classifieds there is a a used FSW header for $60.00 and a used Mikuni 33 pumper for $200.00 from the same fellow. At $60.00 you could find a used 300 muffler and have everything for under a 100.00. That'sbargain Power.

Looks like plenty of room to grab just behind the hanger bolt - looks to be a good 1.5 to 2 inches of clearance judging from the photo.

Just as much, if not more than the stock exhaust at the least.

I know i've burnt myself on the stocker a few times.

I do wear gloves, and i'm sure you'll agree with me when I say that they aren't exactly heat resistant...

I'm kind of partial to these MSR gloves - just a simple soft leather enduro gove, they feel great and in your case would probably resist heat better than most mx type gloves which are usually covered with silicon or rubber. I've had the same pair for almost two years and while they are looking well used, they are still holding up well.

Funny you should mention that. I still remember seeing something on my head pipe and taking a swipe at it with a pair of Goretex gloves without thinking it through first....not a pretty picture.

Do those of you with the HMF think that a right side get off could possibly tweak the exhaust?

Would you consider the mounting to be 100% stable?
