Default Fit issues with HMF cleared?

According to the HMF forums, they've solved the fit and finish issues with their slip ons.

I'm curious to know whether this means that they've added the proper spacer and expect you to deal with it, or if they've actually repositioned the mounting bracket.

Anybody bought one recently? Can anybody comment on this at all?

I'm considering opting for this + a FSW header as opposed to a BG or Muzzy full system. Seems a good deal cheaper. I'll have to email FSW first, to be sure it's possible though.

Btw, KLXRider, which exhaust tip is that on your bike?

I think they added the spacer necessary. I doubt they repositioned the bracket thought I'm not sure. The muffler is vey long, that's why it hits the fender.

Quite frankly, even if they didn't give you the spacer, it's such a none issue for me to just get a longer bolt and a spacer.

BTW, I don't think you have a choice on the tip. You have the option of getting the quiet core(which I have) but that does not change the tip.

The pipe sounds awesome and the performance gain is excellent. It's built very durable and can take some offroad beating. I even like the looks. It looks mean in a mfugly sorta way, lol. Plus you can't beat the price.

dude, get the BG. I have a feeling you'll regret it if you don't. I can't TELL you how much more power it added to my KLX and it sounds *****'ing meaner than he77. Order the full system and call it a day already. I know you and I know you just sit around your pc looking at this and that and trying to decide what to get. I've been there and while I can't speak for everyone, the majority on here have been happy with BG. There have been NO quality issues associated with the pipe's performance. Their CS has been in question but the one time I had to deal with a couple bolts in the endcap vibrating out, their CS had me a full set of hardware in the mail the next day for nothing. I'm sure this will turn into a huge thread about me loving the BG or something like that, but this is all I am going to write and I am asking you if you really want to buy a slip-on only that has had major fitment issues in the past and that is huge when on the bike or a full-system that has satisfied me in every way like the BG has. I can guarantee that no one on this forum 'cept for maybe deej is harder to satisfy than myself. I just don't want to see you make a mistake. There will be guys come on now and tell you the horror stories of BG in one form or another- they just aren't true and not one has any documented evidence of a BG failing on a KLX. Get the BG and don't look back, you will be a happy rider. Don't be that guy at the trail or whatever that the other guy with the BG on his bike feels sorry for cuz his pipe is crap. I am getting the red '09 KLX next spring and besides the 13-tooth cs sprocket (if they haven't already installed one at the factory) the BG will be the first mod that I do. Also, the BG has a multitude of colored anodized tips for the muffler. good luck.

I wonder why this person feels compelled to post a pro Big Gun rant in a thread about HMF exhaust?

I knew it! One question ... engine on, or engine off?
