that's an old BG design and you all know it. plus, it looks as if it had some coaxing to get to that stage. either way, you still haven't found any KLX pipe that has failed simply because it's a new design that is built just like every other mainstream muffler on the market. if you don't like the steel header, they are now SS. thanks for looking like a bunch of trained puppets though guys.[:-]

How bout that hideous discoloration that EMS was having on his BG? [8D]
Sure, a little Mother's polish went a long way, but I don't have to polish my SS muzzy pipe..
It's bronzed and beautiful.

that's because eric never washes his bike and if i remember right, if he does he just rinses it and lets it dry, hence the surface rust of baked on mud residue. so all you have is discoloration now? i thought it didn't matter what color it was cuz it's a dirt bike? look at mine, it is far from discolored. don't think I never got my bike dirty either.

People have posted on this forum about melting airboxes with BG, not everyone, but some.

What tip is on your exhaust?

I see slipons with two tip types, ones like yours, and ones that are a straight downturn. Yours is the one i'm interested in.

And i'd buy one to see if it does or doesn't fit, but having to use a spacer to hold the exhaust on seems so unsafe. Imagine how much extra stress that'd put on the mounting bracket in the event of a rightside tanking, doesn't seem very offroad capable.

He has the same tip as me. I am pretty sure that is the only tip now available for offroad bikes. The more conventional downturn is no longer offered on the KLX.

I don't see how that puts more stress. I'm more concerned that it only has one moutning point instead of the few that the stock one has.
