Since you have the system, can you tell me, how much clearance is there between the can and the rear fender?

Is there enough to stick your hand between the two, without burning your hand?

Might have to eliminate this exhaust as an option if it means I no longer can use the subframe as a grab handle.

Searched for some pics on the forum of people with the hmf can. Looks like you might be able to get your hand inbetween the muffler and subframe, but its gonna be tight!

I usually use my rack as the grab handle.

Damn, looks like you might come out with some burned up digits.

I don't like using the rack as a grab handle. I usually remove it before we go offroading, to save some weight. Not to mention, it's alot less comfortable to use, since it's alot higher up than the subframe.

seems to me you don't know what you want. I'm done trying to help you out. You're on your own dude. Go ahead and buy a pipe that doesn't fit right and looks like an ornament hanging off the rear of your bike,or is $600 for a special bulge in the header. I'll keep laughing my *** off while I'm saving money next spring on my new BG on my new KLX while you're on your KLX with a pipe that won't fit worth crap and is not supplying you with all the goods to make it go------fast.layda

IMO the best bang for your buck is a FSW header and a 300 Muffler. It will be under $200.00 for both and will provide as much if not more power than anything else. The only drawback is the 300 muffler is heavier and doesn't sound or look as cool as the aftermarket mufflers. You can always addan aftermarket muffler later.
