Their is a good report on Thumper Talkon how to lower the WR 250. The rear shock has an adjustment on it. You don't have to use lowering links or touch the spring. The front, you just slide the forks up in the triple trees. I'm not a big fan of the color of theWR 250 ButI would bet in six months or so their will be a ton of aftermarket Plastics for this bike and you would have a much bigger choice of colorsand parts than our beloved KLX. I would not sell my KLX for the new WR but If I was in the market for a new 250, (09KLX or 08WR) I would get the WR hands down.... Just remember no sense on arguing which bike is better Because everyone knows that the 06 klx ( w/the green head light and seat strap removed) is thefastest 250 out there!!!!...........lol

Personally, I don't like the look of the rear tail light set-up....I'd prefer it snugged up under the fender like the edge tail lites..that fender on the rear is not so hot either, it looks too thin...but I am sure it would be a fun ride.

ORIGINAL: WestOzKLX

Yeah! Nice, but not for us. AU$6200 for 07 KLX250 H or AU$7000 for 09 KLX250S. Versus AU$10000 for WR250R or , OMG, AU$10200 for 07 WR250F of WR450F. Both WR250F & WR450F are DOT legal in OZ. Why bother with the WR250R. Not at that price. Should be around the AU$8000 mark. WR250F kicks its ***[sm=forgetit.gif]
We had better get used to it. This is the future for trailbikes.
It is getting rave reviews.
It's way way way too tall for me and the exhaust system looks more road than trail.
But I think all the manufacturers will copy this example of giving pretty good performance and handling in a package that doesn't need too much maintanance.

And there will be higher capacity versions of this type of bike.
