First Showroom Impression of the WR250R w/pics
 

Stopped at the Yammi dealer after phishin today...to get some bulk two-smoke Yammi-lube.....and what do I see on the far side of the shop....a WR250R...ohhh gotta check it out.

After plunkin my but on the bike....the first thing I noticed is the seat height is almost two inches higher than my 06 KLX.....next thing I noticed is that the stock suspension is WAY stiffer than my KLX.....sweet. Overall a VERY nice bike, different league than a klx but so is the price.

So I get a Sales guy :eek: ... How Much? $5,900 .... + blah + blah....$7,100 otd..lol ...that's with S. Florida sales tax of 6.5%..tag ....and a bj I think. ;)

The SM version put out 26 hp STOCK on the dyno thou... damn.

The R version has a pipe like the klx and needs a new one along with a power commander.....shoot for $5,900 + pipe + commander......I would just get a ktm 300 xc-w

Couple more pics.... but it was a really nice bike and I'd luv to have one.

I can barely get on the klx. I almost fell over when I hopped on the wr250r at the local dealer. That seat is tall. :(

Yup, if ya think the klx is high....the Yammi is quite a bit more...and I have raising links on the klx and that is my opine.

But it is nothing like one of my riding buddies that has a ktm 300 xc-w ... with a high seat :eek: That bike is to high for me ..... must be 39 - 40 inches......everyone laughs when I kick it because I only have a 30 inseam....but after she's running I'm good ... lol.

that bike is pretty nice looking. I just can't get past all that blue. nice frame though and front fender, hate the pipe. like the European spec black frame on the R better than silver US version. to me, not worth a grand more than the KLX.

I went to try to set my eyeballs on a X today. Dealer I went to did not have any but one 20 minutes away had 2 Rs & 1 X in the crate. May have to run up there[:-]

Yeah! Nice, but not for us. AU$6200 for 07 KLX250 H or AU$7000 for 09 KLX250S. Versus AU$10000 for WR250R or , OMG, AU$10200 for 07 WR250F of WR450F. Both WR250F & WR450F are DOT legal in OZ. Why bother with the WR250R. Not at that price. Should be around the AU$8000 mark. WR250F kicks its ass[sm=forgetit.gif]
