First ride on the new bike....
Well I picked up the bike last night and my friend took me out for a ride. It was the first time I actually ever rode a motorcycle more than a couple hundred yards. What fun, I am an experienced downhill mountain bike racer and I am glad the skills are very similar, I had no problem hitting the trails and jumps. I have a lot to learn on how to use the engine in berms but man can you accelerate out them with a motor (as apposed to pedaling). Jumping will take some time, I cleared about a 15 foot double but I am going to take some time to get used to a motor before I try that again. I only dumped it once in some thick sand and she came out of it ok (slow speed wash out).
Let's just say my friend is a great teacher but cannot wait to take the MSF course to learn more.

Welcome Batt 65, don't forget to put you're name in you're signature, and also on the frappr site. This is where Marty is going to copy and paste his recommendations for taking the MSF course for beginning riders. Listen to him because I really think the course is valuable, and I plan on taking the experienced rider course asap. So Marty, let's have it again.

Hey Marty if you read this, will there be anything that I will be missing if I don't take the Begginer course which is really expensive and they also provide you with a bike? I would like to take the expert course which is much, much cheaper here and show up with my KLX 250s, but will it be like getting thrown to the wolves without 1st taking the begginer course? Let me know.
