Enough bike for me?

RE: Enough bike for me?
People take this stuff way to seriously. Just buy a bike, the one you think you will like. Ride it. If you don't like it sell it and get another. So what you might lose some money on resale, you have probably have spent more money on other dumb stuff in your life than you lose on the bike reselling it. It's only money right? The man gives you more at the end of the week right? Life is full of choices, sometimes you make good ones, and sometimes you don't. If you buy the bike and don't like it, it isn't the end of the world. And look on the bright side the klx is green, the drz isn't.

so I guess it's not a big big deal to take a loss on a bike if you don't like it but I try to be a bit smarter about fitting with what I want the first time around. That way I don't have to take the loss to begin with.

Yeah, the depreciation factor always sux; especially when you buy new. If cash is not relavent like 2k1w=no$ indicates then just buy. Otherwise do what you are doing and ask questions! It is a good feeling being a consumer and coming out knowingyou got a decent deal.

RE: Enough bike for me?
It's mostly a function of economics.
Used DRZ with not many miles and a few mods (exhaust, jetting, skid plates, etc) is $2500-$3000.
Used KLX is going to be at least $3500 if I can find one which I probably can't since they just came out last year. If I can't find used then it's new which is at least $4700 but probably up to $5000. Then once I start the mods it's another coupld hundred bucks.
However knowing me I will probably use the difference as an excuse to buy another bike/car/ATV or whatever.
