Well it only took 7 more calls today, but I finally got a human being on the other end of the line and ordered fork springs and a shock spring.

They even shipped them out today so I should have them before next weekend.

Now all I need to do is get the new exhaust, find some black side number plates and front headlight plate, get the jet kit, air cleaner, remove that dumb air tube that feds air from the air box into the exhaust, replace the tires, etc...

damn, I need to sell another one of my computers to pay for all this crap, lol

So really all we need for the front is new springs, right?

Fork Springs are pretty much a necessity unless you weigh about 135lbs.

I'm a little over 215lbs in gear so I need a heavier spring out back too.

I've only put about 50 miles on my bike on the streets and the stock fork springs are just about friggin' useless in my opinion. I use my front brakes liberally, and the front end goes down more than a hooker on payday.

I'm really looking forward to getting those new ones installed. It should make the bike FAR more stable and steady on the street.

you could just preload your stock springs with some PVC tube. it's not the best solution but it does work and it's cheap.

Actually, I prefer going with a slightly stiffer spring, but that's just my personal opinion.

I have a 1998 YZ250 that had stock springs (F&R) and I sent the forks and shock to Jeremy over at MX-Tech and he did wonders with them. The bike is truly a dream to trail ride on now.

At some point, I'll probably send the Kawasaki forks and shock to him for a revalve and dyno testing too but for now, the springs should hold me til spring
