Outstanding Queen. Looks like the PowerBomb is practically the same compared to Megabomb in those 3 separate tests.. Very interesting. And even without knowing the details of the tests, I'm a believer that they produce pretty much the same results based on what I'm reading about acoustics:

http://www.acousticsbydesign.com/aco...vs-reality.htm
Excerpt:
Reality
Physics tells us that for every doubling of acoustical energy, there is a 3dB increase. Conversely, a 3dB decrease means the sound is cut in half. So, 3 is the magic number right? Well, not so fast. This is where we see a conflict between scientific calculations and perceived sound levels. “Perceived” sound levels report how our ears and brain interpret the sound. In other words, perception answers the question of “What sounds ‘twice as loud’?”

Perception
Sound studies tell us time and again that a 3dBA increase in sound level is barely noticeable to the human ear. In fact, you have to raise a sound level by 5dBA before most listeners report a noticeable or significant change. Further, it takes a 10dBA increase before the average listener hears “double the sound.” That’s a far cry from 3dB.

The mating of the ChinaBomb to your Q4 will be of great interest - For instance: are the diameters compatible so that the exhaust doesn't see a restriction of any kind - especially due to a "neck down" of the ChinaBomb to the Q4 or vise versa.. I tested such a restriction when I joined my MegaBomb to my smaller midpiped DGR and lost power everywhere compared to the DGR+ stock header..

[QUOTE=Klxster;528905]Ok, well then unless you want to just get it all done at once(header and 144/1N), the Q4+140/2N lidless will put your bike WAY ahead of the '14 in power levels and make good usable TRQ/HP from about 4k to a little over 9k - maybe as far up as 9.5k.. Knowing kids - I have 3 plus I'm still one myself, lol - you'll be relegated to riding that '14 as soon as he gets a taste of that hot rod '07..

Crap....I just read your Public Annoucement Thread. I couldn't get the DJ140 so I ordered the Kehin 140. Looks like it's only equivelent to the DJ130. I'm going to have to get the DJ140 and tear my carb apart again....bah

Well, that would explain how your bike is currently running "ok" with the lid off and stock exhaust..lol

On-the-other-hand, since you're going back in to the carb anyway, if you got the Power/Mega Bomb and a DJ144.. You could "get it all done at once"...

At any rate, when you call DJ, go ahead and get 2 or more additional needle washers, TWO DJ140's, and perhaps TWO DJ144's...

This way you're staged to setup the '14 and the '07 anyway you want - based on the exhausts' you run/will run... The '07 being HERO and the '14 being ZERO won't last long..lol

Kapeesh?

Are the needle washers in case I loose one? Also can I run the way it is right now until my Q4 and DJ140 arrive?

It makes sense to order 2 of the 140 and 144

Thx kevin

Yes, those washers run off and hide - they're like little ninjas..
Additional 2 (or more) washers certainly is smart as you must use 2 on the needle, on top of the clip.

Perfectly ok to run your bike as is.. In fact, try this, you may be suprised: Remove the snorkel from the lid and put the lid back on.

Called Dinojet to order. $8.50 worth of parts (good). They want $44 US to ship...that's like $55 Canadian (very bad)......I need to find another route....my Q4 was only $50 to ship and it weighs like a thousand times more pounds

With your current setup (stock exhaust, 2152 kit) the lid will actually increase the pressure gradients thru-out the CVK's pilot jet and needle jet.. Which means you should see better throttle response as well as a quicker TRQ ramp-up from a snap to WOT from about 3.5-4k..

Ok, a motorcycle tuning shop or any shop that routinely engages in tuning bikes will have a lot of DJ jets floating around. Take your DJ132 from your kit and find one that looks the same but is stamped 140/144..

Fellow Canucks in here figured out a solution to getting these DJ parts.. I can't remember it tho.. Perhaps they'll chime in..

My Canadian online parts supplier has the Keihin, so I ordered 152's & 158's, which according to the chart are the same as the DJ140 & 144. Only $7.00 shipping
