I went with the FMF Quiet Core, Quiet Core insert (1 1/8" ID), and a Chinese megabomb header. Nobody likes a loud bike except some of us riders.

Here are part numbers for first and second gen KLX250s': https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...nockoff-43840/

Well yall let us know what setup seems to work.. Going lidless allows the potential for a strong mid to upper end powerband that pulls hard to redline but a restrictive silencer will affect this potential somewhat - which would change the fueling requirements.. My setups are for lidless running only. Don't run the 140 or the 144 setup with a lid on.

I would guess that if you add a quiet tip to the 140/2N (lidless, stock header) setup that a good starting point would be a DJ136 instead of the 140.
LIkewise, if the full exhaust system + (144/1N, lidless) setup had a quiet tip added, I would guess a DJ140 would be a good starting point.

Ahh, did you get the full system with the Megabomb?
The megabomb adds power AND makes the bike more quiet..
You probly know that there are quiet tip options for the PC4..

I just went with the slipon for now. There's only a $50 savings by buying together, so I'll wait on the header until I feel I can tackle to MSM

My understanding was that the header only made a difference when you did the MSM or the 351 kit

Megabom reduces decibals by a couple. Please consider buying the quiet tip insert for the power core. The PC is very loud and we have enough problems with trail closures as it is.

Would it be over 96? I've already jetted at 140 with lid off and 2152 dynojet kit. Do I need to change the 140 with the quiet tip
