Yeah, actually it's always been "kind of" open. We just ride the main property areas and roads.

Thanks for the post! Good stuff for those of us driving around in cages at 19F in the morning. If the opportunity arises, keep me posted for next years ride. The schedule appears to be opening up (long story) and a get-away will be in order. The others are planning a May Moab, but not yet sure that one will be doable.

Black Gap and the other rough sections were probably in the best shape I've seen them in, and I can only attribute that to the lack of rain from the current drought. There's usually more rutting and wash caused by rain. It was packed down better in most places, and the gravelly sand places were better packed. I had a lot of fun at a little more speed this time. They told me that they only had about an inch of rain in the last 13 months.
