D606 Question.

RE: D606 Question.
Not sure, I am currently running with a 120/90 - 18 on the other bike(my sons bike now). I remember someone saying that the 130 might be too big for our swing arm.. If not, it will be GREAT traction I'm thinking!!
I actually opted for the Kendar Trakmaster 2 in the larger 120/100 - 18 size. Nobrakes has an older one on the bike I bought from him, and it looks MONSTROUS, but a bit worn, so I'm thinking the new one will be quite a claw!!

RE: D606 Question.
All I know about the 130 is that a friend of mine put one on a 2004 KLR 250 and it rubbed on the stock muffler when the suspension moved. Now I realize that they are different bikes, different years, but it might be wise to stay with the 120. Also keep in mind, the bigger/wider tire is going to take a little more power to get it to spin in different riding conditions.

RE: D606 Question.
I am currently running the 130 width Cheng Shin C858 and there is plenty of room on each side. Obviously tread pattern will make some different. There are definitely differences in widths between manufacturers and tread designs even if both are a reported 130, but there is enough extra room that I would bet that anybody's 130 would fit without any problem.

RE: D606 Question.
Go with the 130... I just changed out my stock D603's for D606's at both ends.
Here's what I changed from and to:
D603 3.00 x 21 front D606 90/90 - 21 front
D603 4.60 x 18 rear D606 120/90 - 18 rear
I measured the old and new tires with calipers, and the 606 rear is at least half an inch skinnier than my old (stock) tire.
Definitely go with the 130. Had I known this, I would have gotten 130/90-18.
